The same goes for play - some types of play are encouraged over others.<br /><br />In the good old days it was easier for kids to just get on with being 'creative' and use their imaginations because society and adults weren't so hung up on test scores and so worried about their child being abducted....<br /><br />As a parent (and an early childhood educator) I feel the best thing I can do for my kids is to know them and to allow them to follow their interests by providing lots of interesting, good quality, open ended materials and giving them time and space to explore.... they will do the rest.katefhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13498070846839816977noreply@blogger.com
